Day 02
Hanoi – Overnight Train to Lao Cai (B, L)
Head out to explore the Ho Chi Minh Complex and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda. Next, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, followed by the Museum of Ethnology, where you can discover the diverse cultures of the country's 54 ethnic groups. After lunch, take a cyclo ride through the Old Quarter and around Hoan Kiem Lake, then enjoy a traditional water puppet performance. In the evening, board an overnight train to Lao Cai.
Day 03
Lao Cai – Sapa (B)
Upon arrival, you will be picked up and taken to Cat Cat Village, home to the H’Mong ethnic community. Enjoy a walking tour through the village, where you can meet and interact with the locals and have the chance to share cultural experiences by visiting some of their homes. In the afternoon, take time to relax or explore Sapa town at your leisure.
Day 04
Sapa – Lao Cai – Overnight Train to Hanoi (B, L)
Take a trip to explore the hill tribe villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van, home to the Black H’mong and Dzay communities, as well as Ta Phin Village, where the Red Dzao people live. This walking tour offers breathtaking views and a chance to meet some of the warmest and most welcoming locals. Standing in the valley, you can fully admire the stunning landscapes around you. In the evening, board the night train back to Hanoi.
Day 05
Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
Arrive at the train station in the early morning and transfer to a mini hotel for a quick rest and breakfast. Then, set off from Hanoi to Halong Bay. Once there, board an overnight cruise to uncover the stunning beauty of this legendary destination. Delight in delicious meals and take part in various activities both on and off the boat. Stay overnight on the cruise.
Day 06
Halong Bay – Hanoi – Flight to Hue (B)
Start your day with a Tai Chi session, followed by an international breakfast as the cruise sails through the stunning islets. Return to the pier and head to the airport for your flight to Hue. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and taken to your hotel for check-in.
Take a boat ride along the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, the oldest in Hue. Next, explore the Imperial Citadel, the former seat of the Nguyen Dynasty from 1802 to 1945. After lunch, visit the magnificent tombs of Emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh, where you can learn about royal life and admire the unique architecture.
Travel by car across the breathtaking Hai Van Pass to reach Hoi An. Along the way, stop to explore Marble Mountain, the Cham Museum, and the Stone Village. In the afternoon, take a walking tour to explore the ancient town and visit a local craftsman’s home to experience the daily life of the locals and learn the art of lantern-making.
Day 09
Hoian – Da Nang – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B)
Spend your free time unwinding on the beach before heading to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and taken to your hotel for check-in.
Day 10
Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)
Travel to Cu Chi District to explore the fascinating underground tunnel network. After lunch, head back to the city to visit notable landmarks, including the Town Hall, Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Market, War Remnants Museum, and Reunification Palace.
Day 11
Mekong Delta (B, L)
Head to the Mekong Delta and take a boat ride to explore the Cai Be floating market, where locals trade goods directly from their boats. Visit a nearby village to see how traditional products are made, experience the daily life of the locals, enjoy traditional Vietnamese music, and take a hand-rowed sampan to immerse yourself in the authentic Mekong River atmosphere. After lunch, stop by a local brick kiln before boarding another boat to Vinh Long, known for its tropical fruits, with a short visit to a local market.
Day 12
Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)
Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy some free time to unwind or continue exploring Ho Chi Minh City at your own pace before being transferred to the airport for your departure.
