Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to the hotel for check in. In the late afternoon, visit the famed 2500-year-old Shwedagone Pagoda. Watch the sun cast its rays over the temple at sunset.
Day 02
Yangon – Mandalay (B, L) (Overnight Bus 20:00-05:00)
Your exploration of Yangon will begin with a look at the local life of this colonial style city center then go shopping at Bogyoke Aung San market. After lunch, visit the Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda. At around 6PM your driver will take you to Aung Mingalar Bus Station to take the comfortable air conditioned night bus to Mandalay. You will have a mini dinner for 30 minutes at the stop station. You will arrive in Mandalay at 5.00 AM.
Early in the morning, pick up and transfer to the hotel for a short rest. Then take a tour to Mahamuni Pagoda. Stroll along the shops and workshops and get an insight into the craftsmanship of the Burmese. Tour continues to Shwe In Bin Kyaung, the Shwenandaw Monastery, and the Kuthodaw Pagoda. End the day with enjoying the magnificent sunset view from the top of Mandalay Hill.
Day 04
Mandalay – Mingun – Amarapura (B, L)
Board a one-hour private local boat for a trip up the Ayeyarwaddy River to Mingun. Visit to Pahtodawgyi, Mingun Bell, and Hsinbyume pagoda. Return to Mandalay and start heading towards your first stop “Amarapura”. Visit the largest monastery “Maha Ganyon Kyaung”, home to several thousand young monks, renowned as a center for monastic study and strict religious discipline. Explore a silk weaving workshop. Finally, enjoy a walk at sunset along the 1.2km long teak-pole U Bein pedestrian footbridge.
Day 05
Mandalay – Bagan (B) (Day Bus 08:00-14:00)
Transfer to the bus station to take a bus to Bagan. Upon arrival, enjoy a sunset shot from Bagan’s most famous ‘Shwesandaw Pagoda’ following the steps up to one of the high terraces for a great view out over the plains.
Visit the colorful NyaungOo Market, Shwezigon Pagoda, Cave Temple Wetkyi-in Gubyaukgyi and the elegantHtilominlo Temple. After lunch, visit a workshop producing Bagan’s most famousproducts: lacquer ware and wood crafts. Then, explore Ananda temple and alsoThatbyinnyu pagoda, Dhammayangyi Pagoda, Manula Temple. Finally, enjoy thesunset from North Guni pagoda or Pya That Gyi pagoda.
Day 07
Bagan – Kalaw (B) (Day Bus 08:00-14:00)
Transfer to the busstation to take a bus to Kalaw. Upon arrival, If time permits, you will visitthe Nee Paya and town market. You may take leisurely walks amongst the pinetrees and rambling Tudor-bungalows.
Day 08
Kalaw – Inle (B, L)
Head to a starting point for trek to a Palaung hill-tribe village. Visit tea plantations and orange farms and walk up to the village with beautiful views and have tea with local tribal people. After hiking, your vehicle will pick you up at the starting point and drive to Inle.
Day 09
Inle – Indein (B, L)
You will cruise down along a narrow canal leading to the Pa-Oh village of In Dein and reach the impressive Shwe Indein Pa-O complex. After lunch, visit the most famous Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda. Then, venture into the Nampan floating villages. Then, visit Inn Paw Khone weaving village and floating gardens of the Hydroponics system. Continue by boat to visit Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery. Tour ends with the beauty of sunset over Inle Lake.
Day 10
Inle – Heho – Flight to Yangon – Departure (B)
Free until transfer to the airport in Heho for a flight back to Yangon. Upon arrival, head to the International check-in counter for your departure flight home.
