Detailed Itinerary
Day 01

Luang Prabang Arrival

Upon arrival, transfer to visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai. You then ascend to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred, gilded stupa as well as capture a beautiful view of the city and watch the glowing reflection of the setting sun on the Mekong River. From there, you will explore the Night Market.
Day 02

Luang Prabang – Elephant Camp (B, L)

You proceed to the Adventure & Elephant camp located 15 km out of town in the middle of unspoiled, natural green surroundings. After crossing the small river you will be introduced to our Asian Elephants and venture on a 1 – 1,30 mins enchanting journey through forests, plantations and fields. After visiting the waterfall, lunch is served before a relaxing 30 minutes rafting tour along the river back to the resort. Overnight at Lao Spirit Resort.
Day 03

Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave (B, L)

You head back towards Luang Prabang to enjoy a short-guided tour of the city’s oldest temple, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong. You then embark on a boat journey upstream along the Mekong River. En route, you stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where you can sample the local produce of Lao rice wine. On our way back, you take a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village well known for its hand weaving.
Day 04

Luang Prabang – Flight to Pakse – Khong Island (B)

Visit the National Museum and the Central market then catch a flight to Pakse. On arrival, you drive on National Road No. 13th south to Khong Island by longtail local boat. Khong Island is the largest island in the South Mekong river region known as the 4000 islands and it is one of the most scenic areas in Laos.
Day 05

Khong Island (B, L)

Explore the local villages of Ban Khone then continue to discover the 4000 islands area by boat to visit the Liphi waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls marking the end of Lao border to Cambodia, also known as the Samphamith. Return to Ban Nakasang and drive to the waterfalls of Khone Phapheng, the largest waterfall in ASEAN, known as Niagara of the east.
Day 06

Khong Island – Border of Lao & Cambodia (B)

Free until transfer to Dong Kralor border gate or Veun Kham border gate for the departure of your next destination.
