Upon arrival, you start visiting the major city sights: Wat Sisaket, the country’s oldest temple and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo. En route, visit the famous That Luang Stupa, the single most important monument in Laos and the imposing Patuxay Monument. Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 02
Vientiane – Luang Prabang (B, L)
Take an express train to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to visit the National Museum at the Royal Palace and the Traditional Arts & Ethnology Centre then transfer back to the hotel.
Day 03
Luang Prabang – Pakou Caves (B, L)
Participate in the daily early morning alms giving to saffron-clad monks (Optional). Transfer to visit the city’s temples including Wat Sene & Wat Xieng Thong then take a boat trip to visit Pak Ou Caves. On the way, you will also enjoy a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside. In the afternoon, you will visit some villages including Ban Xan Hai where the local rice wine is produced and other small villages.
Day 04
Luang Prabang – Asia Elephant Riding – Kuang Si Waterfalls (B, L)
Transfer to visit the stupa of Wat Visoun, Wat Aham and Wat Mai. Next, enjoy an elephant tour and venture on a 35 mins journey through forests then visit some ethnic minority villages. Afterward, transfer to visit Kuang Si waterfalls then climb up to the top of Phousi mount for the beautiful view of the city & river at sunset. From there, visit the Night Market then transfer back to the hotel.
Day 05
Luang Prabang Departure (B)
Free to visit the morning Phosi Market where you can find dried buffalo skins, local teas and saltpeter among the many foodstuffs and hill-tribe textiles then transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
