Day 01
Bangkok Arrival [Thailand]
Upon arrival, you will meet our driver then transfer to the hotel for check-in. Free at leisure. Overnight in Bangkok.
Transfer to visit the Grand Palace complex and it consists of not only royal and throne halls, but also a number of government offices as well as the renowned Temple of the Emerald Buddha. And then visit Wat Phra Kaew. After lunch, take a joint local public ferry crossing the Chao Phraya River. Along the way, stop at Wat Arun and then take a joint local public back to visit Wat Pho, you will also visit the Wat Traimit which is well known as the Golden Buddha. A walk to visit Chinatown before going back to the hotel for relaxing.
Day 03
Floating Market – Railway Market (B, L)
Transfer to South west of Bangkok – a green and wet delta area, criss-crossed by canals, highly fertile and full of coconut plantations and fruit orchards. You will enter the Damnoen Saduak floating market by long-tailed boat via a labyrinth of narrow canals through the orchards. After lunch, visit one of the hip markets in the world at Maeklong Railway Market where most stalls are placed on the railway. When the train comes through, all vendors must move, swing their stalls away from trails but return to normal in the short term.
Day 04
Bangkok – Flight to Phuket (B)
Free time until transfer to the airport for a flight to Phuket. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in and free at leisure to enjoy the beach.
Transfer to the pier then depart to Phi Phi Ley Island, visit the beautiful scenery of Maya Bay, snorkeling at Loh Samah bay, visit Hong Island for swimming and take a photo at Viking cave. After lunch, cruise to Khai island where you will have free time on the beach and also take photos with wonderful fishes.
Day 06
Phuket – Free at Leisure (B)
Free at leisure to relax on the beach. Overnight in Phuket Island.
Day 07
Phuket – Flight to Chiang Mai – Khantoke Dinner (B, D)
Free time to enjoy the beach until transfer to the airport for a flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in. In the evening, enjoy Khantoke dinner with a music show by local dancers and singers.
Day 08
Chiang Mai – Mae Taeng Elephant Camp (B, L)
Visit the Mae Taeng Elephant Camp where you will see the demonstration of how the trained elephants are used as work animals in the teak forests including elephant bathing in the river, working in the jungle, dragging and pushing the logs and responding to commands. Then you will ride an elephant for 45 minutes through the jungle, stopping at Lisu village. After lunch, you will take the bamboo raft along the Maetang River and then return to the hotel. On the way, you will stop to visit the orchid & butterfly farm.
Day 09
Chiang Rai – Golden Triangle (B, L)
Transfer to Chiang Rai. On the way you will visit Wat Rong Khun, known for its famous white temple. Next, visit the famous Golden Triangle, where the borders of three countries meet. Enjoy the boat ride and the panoramic view of the Mekong River. Continue to the town of Mae Sai, the border between Thailand & Myanmar and the northernmost point of Thailand. Enjoy shopping for Myanmar products at the local market and then drive back to Chiang Mai. On the way, you will stop to visit the villages of Akha, Yao and Long Neck.
Day 10
Chiang Mai – Doi Suthep – Flight to Luang Prabang (B) [Laos]
Visit Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, the most sacred temple containing a holy relic of the Lord Buddha. The temple compound offers a great view of Chiang Mai and surrounding countryside. A visit to Meo village will be made then transfer to the airport for a flight to Luang Prabang.
Day 11
Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves (B, L)
Visit the city’s oldest temples: Wat Sene & Wat Xieng Thong then take a boat trip along the Mekong river to the Pak Ou Caves where there are thousands of Buddha images. Stop to visit the two small villages then climb up to Wat Chomphet for the best view of Luang Prabang. Later, take a short drive to Ban Xang Khong and Ban XiengLek, small villages well known for silk weaving and Saa paper making, then return to the city and observe the sunset at Wat Phabath.
Day 12
Luang Prabang – Ban Long Lao – Kuang Si Waterfall (B, L)
Transfer to the Khmu village of Ban Long Lao Nong & the Hmong village of Ban Long Lao Song. Here, you will observe the lifestyles of these two culturally very different minority groups. Afterward, visit other ethnic minority villages and see how these colorful people live. Next, stop at the Kuang Si Waterfalls where you can swim in the turquoise pools or walk along forest paths then climb up to Mount Phousi for an exploration of the sacred stupa and a panoramic view of the city at sunset.
Day 13
Luang Prabang – Vang Vieng (B)
Transfer to visit the stupa of Wat Visoun, Wat Aham & Wat Mai and the National Museum at the Royal Palace then take an express train to Vang Vieng, a small and tranquil town nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River. Upon arrival, pick up then transfer to the hotel for check in.
Day 14
Vang Vieng – Tham Jang Caves (B, L)
You will explore the famous caves of Tham Jang then take a drive through paddy fields to the Tham Phoukham caves, the country’s beautiful and famous limestone caverns surrounded by forest. Along the way, you will meet local villagers and learn about their daily lifestyle. There is a small natural pool in front of the caves where you can swim and refresh yourself from the heat. The day ends with a superb sunset panorama reflecting over the Nam Song River.
Day 15
Vang Vieng – Vientiane (B, L)
Take an express train to Vientiane. Upon arrival, you will visit Wat Sisaket, the country’s oldest temple and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo. En route, visit the That Luang Stupa, the single most important monument in Laos and the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe. End of the day with a visit to the Buddha Park, a scattered and enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures near the Friendship Bridge.
Day 16
Vientiane Departure (B)
Depending on your departure time, you will have some free time to relax or further explore the city on your own before a transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
